Achievements

In 2020 I applied and participated in Ottawa International Animation Festival and Anim8 Student Film Festival. I Submitted my animation “Cartoons & Tunes“ and was one of dozen students hand picked for their International Student Animations.

Unfortunately, it was during COVID-19 but it was wonderful getting to attend virtually.

In 2019, I received 2nd place editorial Cartoon from the Illinois College Press Association.

For the Cartoon, published in The Leader Student Newspaper, it was a social commentary on my University as they were mid transition from college to university and it was a very prominent topic at the time.

From 2019-2020 I submitted my artwork ad been judged, reviewed, critiqued and selected to be displayed year round in the Elmhurst University Cafeteria.

The piece is called “The Creator“ made as a class project where all participants had to make a abstract representation of a creator. I did so taking influence from comic book panel visual design and Frank Miller.

In 2019 three of my works were published in a student Arts & Culture Magazine.

The Three works were my Cartoons & Tunes Animation, a redesign of the invisible Man book cover and a 10 page comic I made for a short story literature class “A Good Man is Hard to be“.

In 2018 when Stan Lee passed away, I made a three page comic of his original characters paying tribute to him.

It was featured and published in Elmhurst University’s The Leader Student Newspaper.
